Inspirational quotes

Perseverance without Passion | A goal setter with No Passion

If you want to reach a certain salary or standing in a company, for example, you could dedicate yourself to working hard to achieve this money value or image. But honestly, over time, most people will get burned out. Unless there is a deeper reason than money driving this hard work, they will eventually lose this dedication. As human beings, we are driven by what we feel, and achievement is something that should mean something to us. Passion for your achievement is vital for long-term success.

Have you considered ‘Why’ people reach that ‘mid-life crisis’? It’s often times because they re-question their actions and paths in life, as well as its meaning. Everyone has a passion and purpose, and it’s important to think about what legacy you’d like to leave behind. Passion for your goals will allow you to be more satisfied and happy with your achievements and life as a whole. But no matter how old you are, it’s Never too late to re-evaluate and re-establish your goals. Life is too wonderful to be anything less than our Best by allowing ourselves to truly enjoy our lives.

Passion without Perseverance | Passion with No Goal Setting

There are many people today that get caught up in an idea, with no plan of action to make it happen. It could be a great idea, but if you do not have specific goals set for yourself, this passion will go to waste in the long-term.

Make sure you utilize your passions and skills. Work hard at doing what you love, but also understand how important it is to be dedicated and a goal setter.

Learn the power of goal setting. Learn how to focus step by step on each individual goal that you set for yourself. But most importantly: Write Down Your Goals. When you have your goals written down on paper, they become more achievable; you can visually see what you want. Once you see what you want, you can create steps (small goals) that lead you in the right direction. Small goals are building blocks towards your overall ultimate, or long-term goals.

And who knows, your goals can change and adapt over time. But that is completely ok. As we grow, our ideas and creativity grow stronger. Or maybe your ultimate idea of success was actually as you had pictured it. In either case, keeping a list of written goals, daily/weekly will help you to fully achieve and utilize your potential.

Motivational quotes

Passion + Perseverance | Passion and Goal Setting

When you are both Passionate and Dedicated to achieving your goals, it’s almost an unstoppable force. Those that understand and utilize the power of goal setting can achieve high set goals. They understand that achievement is a continuous process and long-term success is consistent dedication.

Further, the main reason people are able to consistently dedicate themselves goal after goal, is because they truly ENJOY what they are doing. They know what they are passionate for, and they feel that they have a purpose in life and as a person as a whole.

Another Key Tip to Success | FOCUS and minimize stress

Ever feel overwhelmed by your day ahead? Even when you have your goals and schedule written down, sometimes it may seem that there is so much to be done. BUT, here’s the key: FOCUS on your current activity.

When you’re working on a project, focus on that project. When you’re in a meeting, be in that meeting~don’t let your thoughts wander, stay focused. When you’re working-out, clear your mind and work out! When you’re having dinner with a friend, put away your phone and enjoy quality time with that person.

The list goes on, but the key to minimizing stress, is to focus on each given task. You’ll realize you actually have much more time than you think. Giving your full energy and attention to each goal during the day, will increase your potential and effort. When you finish one task, you can move forward on to the next. Of course, there may always be that exceptional phone call, text, or email you need to respond to, etc. And yes, there is always a time and place for multitasking; some jobs may require multitasking. But in general, plan ahead and Stay Focused.

The 6 Keys to Success and Following Your Passion

1) Conquering Fear | Keep Growing

The number one challenge preventing people from achieving their goals and dreams is, fear: the fear of getting started, the fear of making mistakes, the fear of what others might think and the fear of the unknown.

It’s important to keep in mind, ‘You do not fail when you make a mistake. You fail, when you fear failure. Mistakes are a part of the journey. Learning in valuable.’ No matter what you experience, there is always something to learn. Choose to grow better, stronger from each experience. Don’t let fear prevent you from achieving your goals. Instead keep your head up, go after what you want, and always aim to do Your Best.

2) Do What You Love | Follow Your Passion

Life is exactly what you make of it. Becoming the Best Version of Yourself is something we should all aim for. In order to become Your Best, you must truly enjoy what you’re doing. This is why passion is so essential for long-term success and overall happiness. Passion gives you the extra spark, joy and excitement to begin each day. Always remember: everyone has a Passion and a Purpose. Once you find yours, you’ll gain further reason and excitement to excel.

Here’s the deal, everyone has to start somewhere but it’s vital to begin by doing what you enjoy. You may start out in an a job that’s not 100% what you ultimately aim to do, but you’re still taking steps in the right direction towards achieving your ultimate goal. Others may begin in a field or job that they are not completely satisfied with. In this case, don’t be afraid to switch directions and pursue another option.

Some of us may also not be 100% sure what our passion is, and that is completely ok. Experience helps us learn more about ourselves and what we truly want. Keep searching until you feel that thrill and excitement for your career. When you find your passion, you will know. Don’t settle.

Steve Jobs

Each step you take and each goal you achieve, will lead you further along the path to your ideal career. Visa versa, every challenge you overcome teaches you something new and helps you grow stronger.

Another huge key to remember is to: Stop comparing yourself to others. Appreciate, value and learn from others, but be sure to value your own strengths and skills. Every one of us is different and unique in our own way. Focus on growing yourself and do what works for YOU.

3) Goal Setting | Achievement

A huge piece of simple, yet valuable advice given to me was: “Write Down Your Goals.” Once you have your goals written down on paper, it becomes more real and achievable. You can visually see your accomplishments day-by-day and week-by week.

You can also adjust your goals and see what you need to change. You can further write down notes and things that you‘ve learned daily/weekly. Keeping a planner and utilizing note taking are valuable tools in goal setting. The better organized you are, the better you’ll be able to accomplish your goals. Sometimes ideas flow even better or more clearly when you write them down on paper.

Another valuable tool is a personal Mission Statement. A written mission statement will help you to decide what is the most important to you and what you truly value the most. (Read: The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People~Stephen Covey)

4) Reflection and Relaxation | Save time for YOU!

The better you take care of yourself, the better you will perform. Throughout each day, set aside some time to relax. Go for a walk or jog, drive by the beach, read a book, listen to music, draw, meditate, etc. Do something for yourself that refreshes your inspiration and focus. Even during your workday, take 5-10minute breaks to refresh your mind. You will not only regain focus, but you will gain additional inspiration and creative ideas if you truly allow yourself to clear your mind during your breaks.

When it comes to reflection, be sure to save time to reflect at the end of each week. Think about what you accomplished or what you wish to change the next week. Reflection and self-thought can truly help you excel and think through the challenges you come across each day and week.

5) Health and Fitness | Take care of Yourself!

It is vital to value your body and health. Working out and eating healthy provides additional energy and inspiration to each day. Everyone is different, so always do what works for You. What I have learned is that routines are one of the best tools when it comes to fitness. I save time to workout before I get ready for my day. Others may save time to workout after they get off work, or during their work day, or even a combination of these times. Others may save time for fitness a few days a week. But whichever form of fitness or routine you like, just do what you like Best.

Working out could be as simple as: walking, jogging and stretching. It does not have to be an intense form of workout. About 15-30 minutes is still valuable time. Of course, there may be exceptional days where you break routine with a busy schedule, but that is completely alright. Just keep in mind that your health and body is important.

As for eating healthy, you don’t have to be a health nut, but make sure you’re eating your vital food groups. Focus on buying food and making meals at home more often than eating out. Or pack a lunch and take it with you. Once again, there are always those exceptional days but do your best to eat healthy.

6) People and Relationships | The Ultimate Key to Success and Happiness

At the end of the day, there is one thing that matters the most more than anything else: people and relationships. When you choose to surround yourself with great people, every experience just becomes better. Sharing your life with the people that love and value you, makes each challenge and success worthwhile. It’s important to surround yourself with those who support your passions and goals and want to lift you higher.  At the same time, the people that get the farthest in life not only work hard for themselves, they also support and lift up others.
